How much taxes will I have to pay if I am a freelance writer (1099 Misc)?
I earn $400/month and live in Boston. I’ve read about making quarterly payments, etc. Also, what percentage (or what amount) will I have to pay at the end of the year?
Does it affect my normal job and what I will have to pay for that? This is just some extra income.
Do I need a Hawaii tax I.D. number as a freelance proofreader?
I had a couple of freelance proofreading jobs last year. So I’m filing my taxes now and on the tax form N-11 it asks for my Hawaii tax I.D. number (if I filed federal schedule C, which I did). What is this tax I.D. number? Do I need it as a freelance proofreader?
